Podcasting course

I’m excited to be going on a Podcasting course next week!

So look forward to further opinions on what’s good and bad in the Podcasting world.

I have a great interest in Podcasts, but due to having an unfortunate ‘voice of a small child’, I think I’ll need to stay on the planning, production and marketing side of things!

So, Katrina, whatever happened with at the podcasting course? Did you get a lot out of it? Did it focus solely on audio or was there a video component? I think video podcasts are where the future lies.

By the way, don’t be self-conscious about the sound of your voice. What you may think sounds horrible may sound charming or memorable to your audience. It’s part of what makes you you and could be just the thing you need to set your podcast apart from the competition! Go for it!

I really enjoyed it, we created a short series.
We’ll probably get one going for work in the near future too.
How did you learn your podcasting skills?
Speak soon,
K

Katrina,
I’m still learning! Last year before I launched my podcast, I read three books on podcasting. Two of them I found really helpful. “Tricks of the Podcasting Masters” by Rob Wallach and “Promoting Your Podcast” by Jason Van Orden. I also visited and read a ton of web sites that had info about how to get started. There’s also a helpful Yahoo forum for podcasters which is good at getting advice and answers from active podcasters. Here’s the link: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/podcasters/
